 Can't catch me, its MY BOOGIE BABY ?  Well, you can catch her at Holizaar!  Creator Shannon Schafer is the lady behind My Boogie Baby and is one of the original founding Craft Heroes and is therefor a seasoned Holizaar veteran!  My Boogie Baby. features onsies, sweaters, burp clothes, and stuffed plush creations for infants and toddlers!  All are hand created with a Love, Smiles and Giggles. HOLIZAAR SPOTLIGHT: KIM SHERROD aka CALAMITY KIM

Kim Sherrod has been a fiber artist since she began weaving baskets in 1980. She grew up in Black Mountain, NC and has lived in Sarasota for 30 years. She is a founding member of tthe Venice Basket Weaving Guild as well as past President of the Sarasota Surface Design Guild.

She started a Blog 8 years ago, called Calamity Kim and has since been published many times in Apronology, Cloth Paper Scissors and Belle Armoire Magazines.  You've seen here work at festivals and shops from Sarasota to Clearwater and we're excited to have her in Holizaar 7 this year!

Calamity Kim is a bit messy and spills glitter as hunts fairies and gnomes, seeking inspiration for her hand made  fairy tale creatures. She uses hand spun art yarn, or her hand dyed fabrics to create unique one of a kind art dolls. She also makes books, ornaments and unique play clothes, top hats and aprons when she isn't walking the beaches in Sarasota.

Shown above is an Eco Printed Handmade book- all the pages are eco printed and dyed by hand using Florida Roses, grapevine, oak and pine leaves. Below are a few of the new for 2014 holiday season Gnome Skull Ornaments.

The Holizaar is turning 4! Be a part of this fun holiday party! Held annually at The Studio @ 620 (an amazing visual and performing arts non-profit) , www.studio620.org , (620 1st Ave South in St. Pete), Holizaar IV will be bigger and better than ever! This year we're streamlining the vendor set up process which means for you crafty folks an easier and more convenient show: 8ft table and chair will be provided for you, so no lugging tables around, just pack your car full of more great hand made stuff!

Saturday December 3, 2011 from 11 AM - 4 PM (vendor set up will be 9 AM)
Cost: $75 for 8ft space includes table and chair

Holizaar Deux : Double Time Double Festive
Save the date for Holizaar Deux!
The St. Pete Craft Heroes will soon be accepting vendor applications for their second annual holiday bazaar. The 2009 show, Holizaar Deux, will again be held at The Studio @ 620 (http://www.studio620.org/) Due to the success of last year's event the show has been expanded to span a weekend instead of a single day.
This year's show dates are November 21-22, 2009
so save the date and keep an eye out for online application information.

The St. Pete Craft Heroes are excited to announce a second super hand-made holiday event!

The Holiday Shuffle will take place on Friday December 5 at the Historic Mirror Lake Shuffleboard Club! More details to come but put this on your calendar!
