HOLIZAAR SPOTLIGHT ON: THE QUILTING VIOLINIST

The Quilting Violinist returns to Holizaar with more fantastic fabric creations this year-- from full size quilts to smaller gift-able things like ornaments, stockings, place mats, table runners, bath mats, and other home goods. These items are all hand cut and machine pieced and quilted on the artist's home sewing machine in her smoke free and pet free home. Everything is washed and dried before selling unless otherwise noted. In case you were wondering: yes, she really is a violinist!

HOLIZAAR SPOTLIGHT ON: ARMILLATA DESIGNS

Sarah Phillips of Armillata Designs is becoming a bit of a regular at Holizaar as she returns for her third year at the show.  Armillata Designs is a one-woman venture based out of beautiful Tampa, Florida, striving to fuse vintage inspiration and modern style into unique and memorable handcrafted jewelry.  Armillata is a Latin word meaning "adorned with a bracelet," inspired by one of Sarah's other passions, classical archaeology. Her work features wonderful metal smithing and enameled accents.

HOLIZAAR SPOTLIGHT ON: SPRING GREEN HANDBAGS

 

Spring Green Handbags were such a hit at last year's Holizaar we had to have them back!  Leather and upcycled materials (including coffee bean bags and old billboard signs) are combined and printed on to make really unique functional bags.  In generous sizes for shopping or smaller coin purses, they are something that anyone and everyone will enjoy!

HOLIZAAR SPOTLIGHT ON: WADE SLATER

Everyone loves monsters right? Well we sure love Wade Slater's monsters! These fun and friendly faces have been a part of Holizaar for a couple of years now and they always are a real treat to behold!  Wade shares his passion for art as an educator by day.  He uses re-purposed materials in many of his sculptures and often paints on the paper bags he uses for packaging sales giving his customers a super bonus piece of art to go!  His passion and enthusiasm for creating is obvious.  You'll definitely want to stop and visit with him during the show!
