Yes, Linda Hall really is a quilting violinist!  "I started playing violin when I was 4! So I wasn't crafty as a child, I was violin-y. But a basic quilting class( taken on a whim in 1994) changed me forever. It's been incredibly exciting going from being a violinist with a quilting hobby to becoming The Quilting Violinist."

New to Holizaar this yer is Sarah of Armillata Designs.  Sarah is a self described "crafty bookworm who loves silversmithing, coffee shops, thrift stores, and designing jewelry with everything from gemstones and silver to vintage beads and found objects!" Holizaar Vendor Spotlight: The Crafty Hag

Coralette Damme, the gal behind The Crafty Hag, is one of the original Craft Heroes and loves to help give local creators an opportunity to show and sell their wares each year.  She always has fun new creations and is endlessly working on new projects.  Although she is an accomplished painter, her favorite media continues to be block printing with its bold contrasts and strong lines. Her most favorite holiday being Halloween you'll notice a slightly spooky slant to much of her work, with nature being her other greatest influence. She's no stranger to the dark side, and imbues it with whimsy, humor and good-natured self-mockery.

Holizaar Vendor Spotlight: Reclaim 2 Fame

The creators behind the Reclaim2Fame robots are driven by a passion for science fiction, robots and art. They're bringing interactive sculptures that you help create to this year's Holizaar event. They all come with a kit of magnetized parts like: eyes, noses, antennas, switches, buttons and dials. Your MAGNOBOT can have a new look every day just by changing the parts around. Holizaar Vendor Spotlight: Functionhouse Urban Lumber and Furnishings

Would you could you love some wood?  You will fall in love with these gorgeous creations from Funktionhouse Urban Lumber and Furnishings!    Each piece is one of a kind, made from urban trees cut down in our own neighborhood. Owners Robert & Zoë Bocik salvage these beautiful trees by working with local arborists, home-owners, and municipalities—having trees that otherwise would have been firewood or landfill delivered to their on-site milling yard. Together, they mill and then render this gorgeous wood for use after drying it in their on-site dehumidifying kiln. Because Rob & Zoë are involved ‘hands-on’ with every step of the process from tree selection and milling to completed object, their love for wood and passion for the environment is translated into their beautiful and elegant furnishing designs; showcasing the incredible figure and colors of urban lumber, utilizing simple builds and completing each project with natural finishes; letting the wood “speak for itself”.

Last year was the first time Eleanor Pigman brought her delightful seed bead creations to Holizaar and we're thrilled to have her join us again this year!  Whether a decorative work for the home or an ornament you can adorn yourself with, her detailed work is stunning.  "My art always seems to fall between art vs craft", she says.  Either way we know you'll love it!

Holizaar Vendor Spotlight: Our Lady of Perpetual Pickles

Our Lady of Perpetual Pickles is also a perpetual Holizaarian, having been among the vendors since the very start.  Folks just can't seem to get enough of those pickles, jams and other fun surprises!  Come see Jessi and enjoy a free sample! 
"You should start with my Sweet Heat Pickles. They are really good. I usually have samples at craft fairs, but it's hard to taste a sample online, so you will just have to trust me when I say they are good! I'm really into canning right now. I will pickles and jam available, but there will be more to come. I also  make record purses, record bowls, and all kinds of crazy stuff! The best way to see what I do is to come to one of my craft shows."
