Orangebrand is another new vendor for Holizaar this year, featuring works by Carol Davis.  

We can't wait to see her small sculptures, mosaics, tiles, and other animal inspired creations!  "Like a lot people, I'm inspired by many different things and use a lot of different mediums to convey my ideas" she said.  Come enjoy the variety!

Holizaar Vendor Spotlight: The Crafty Hag

Coralette Damme, the gal behind The Crafty Hag, is one of the original Craft Heroes and loves to help give local creators an opportunity to show and sell their wares each year.  She always has fun new creations and is endlessly working on new projects.  Although she is an accomplished painter, her favorite media continues to be block printing with its bold contrasts and strong lines. Her most favorite holiday being Halloween you'll notice a slightly spooky slant to much of her work, with nature being her other greatest influence. She's no stranger to the dark side, and imbues it with whimsy, humor and good-natured self-mockery.

Tim and Dawn of TDPO Unlimited  are bringing their special blend of products to Holizaar for the first time this year. Their soaps and other personal care products are made with natural and/or organic ingredients. Containing nothing artificial and no fragrance oils, they use essential oils so you get the healthiest products available. Their products are made without parabens, sulfates or phthalates and contain no petroleum based ingredients.  In fact, many of their products are vegan.  Whenever possible they source the ingredients from small businesses, through fair trade, from producers who recycle, support sustainable energy or are organically certified so you can feel good about sharing these hand made useful gifts.

Holizaar Vendor Spotlight: Reclaim 2 Fame

The creators behind the Reclaim2Fame robots are driven by a passion for science fiction, robots and art. They're bringing interactive sculptures that you help create to this year's Holizaar event. They all come with a kit of magnetized parts like: eyes, noses, antennas, switches, buttons and dials. Your MAGNOBOT can have a new look every day just by changing the parts around. Sometimes they might look happy or sad, pensive or perky. But they're always fun. These colorful creatures have a personality all their own and communicate a message of creative reuse. Holizaar Vendor Spotlight: Functionhouse Urban Lumber and Furnishings

Would you could you love some wood?  You will fall in love with these gorgeous creations from Funktionhouse Urban Lumber and Furnishings!    Each piece is one of a kind, made from urban trees cut down in our own neighborhood. Owners Robert & Zoë Bocik salvage these beautiful trees by working with local arborists, home-owners, and municipalities—having trees that otherwise would have been firewood or landfill delivered to their on-site milling yard. Together, they mill and then render this gorgeous wood for use after drying it in their on-site dehumidifying kiln. Because Rob & Zoë are involved ‘hands-on’ with every step of the process from tree selection and milling to completed object, their love for wood and passion for the environment is translated into their beautiful and elegant furnishing designs; showcasing the incredible figure and colors of urban lumber, utilizing simple builds and completing each project with natural finishes; letting the wood “speak for itself”.

Our Lady of Perpetual Pickles is also a perpetual Holizaarian, having been among the vendors since the very start.  Folks just can't seem to get enough of those pickles, jams and other fun surprises!  Come see Jessi and enjoy a free sample! 
"You should start with my Sweet Heat Pickles. They are really good. I usually have samples at craft fairs, but it's hard to taste a sample online, so you will just have to trust me when I say they are good! I'm really into canning right now. I will pickles and jam available, but there will be more to come. I also  make record purses, record bowls, and all kinds of crazy stuff! The best way to see what I do is to come to one of my craft shows."

Holizaar Vendor Spotlight: Jessie Landl

We're excited to have Jessie Landl return to Holizaar again this year.  Her unique combination of materials make for some stunning functional creations.  

"Inspired by the computer debris left around by my techie husband, I started creating jewelry out of parts found in old hard drives. I love the simplistic industrial look of the computer parts and the surprise most people experience when they discover where they came from.

I had been knitting for years and it was an obvious step to begin incorporating the hard drive parts into my knit items as well. I knit mostly scarves and jewelry, striving for the same clean modern look of the computer parts in my knitting and I've found that the two combine nicely."

Michelle Hill is the creative mind behind Emlee Handmade, who you may have seen at previous Holizaar shows and other crafty events around town.  Her work has a fun bold style combining block prints and found fabrics which she turns into towels, pillows, and more.  "All of my goods are one of a kind items. I handprint many of my fabric pieces and appliques. I enjoy using vintage and upcycled fabrics, buttons and trims."

Holizaar Vendor Spotlight: Devine Designs Jewelry

Come to Holizaar and meet Cindy of Devine Designs Jewelry! She has been participating in Holizzar for several years and always brings wonderful work with her.  

"I try to take metal to the extreme; by bending and twisting to create unique designs. I use lots of wire to make twists, coils, and spirals that I add to my work. I strive to form designs that have not been done before, original works of art jewelry. I strive for perfection and high quality.

What you will find here: I only use high quality components in my jewelry such as: sterling silver, high grade Thai silver, pure copper, gemstones and artisan made glass beads.

What you will not find here: I do not mass produce, or use cookie cutter concepts when I create a piece. I do not use cheaply made components.  My goal is to constantly learn new techniques that I can offer the customer and to grow as an artist."
