VENDOR SPOTLIGHT: ELEANOR PIGMAN

 If you don't know what a seed bead artist is, then you have missed the past few Holizaar events--Eleanor Pigman returns for the 3rd year in a row to the Holizaar with her amazing creations which are described as Contemporary Bead Embroidery. Eleanor's work is all embroidered by hand with thread, needle on felt with beads. This labor intensive process results in the most lush textures and colors-- you will fall in love with it the moment you see it! While much of her work is inspired by aquatic creatures, you never know what you might find from super heroes to the 'burgs iconic pelican so you'll have to come to Holizaar and see for yourself! VENDOR SPOTLIGHT: PATRICE PFEIFFER

Patrice Pfeiffer is a new artist to Holizaar and we're excited to see her polymer clay creations in person! (Phew! that is almost a tongue twister!) Her works are charming, cheerful and some are quite funny, all are full of lovely color and texture! These hand made works are sure to delight any recipient!

VENDOR SPOTLIGHT: LAINEY RHODES

 Lainey Rhodes is a self proclaimed "Painter/collage artist/dork"! As proprietress of I Wear Party Hats on etsy she fills her shop with quirky, comical, surreal collages made from vintage ephemera.  If you have someone who is a bit extraordinary on your holiday shopping list then this could be the perfect thing!  We're excited to have Lainey back as a returning Holizaar Veteran!

VENDOR SPOTLIGHT: WADE SLATER

Who says monsters and Christmas don't mix!  They're wrong! Nothing is more festive than one of Wade Slater's funky far out creations! What person wouldn't delight to find these fun creatures in their stockings! Each one is carefully hand sculpted and painted and no two are alike!  Come see Wade and his monsters at Holizaar AND follow them online in Monsterland!

 

Wade is a local artist, art teacher and a Holizaar veteran!

The Holizaar is turning 4! Be a part of this fun holiday party! Held annually at The Studio @ 620 (an amazing visual and performing arts non-profit) , www.studio620.org , (620 1st Ave South in St. Pete), Holizaar IV will be bigger and better than ever! This year we're streamlining the vendor set up process which means for you crafty folks an easier and more convenient show: 8ft table and chair will be provided for you, so no lugging tables around, just pack your car full of more great hand made stuff!

Here are the show details:
Saturday December 3, 2011 from 11 AM - 4 PM (vendor set up will be 9 AM)
Cost: $75 for 8ft space includes table and chair

Applications will be reviewed and accepted vendors will be notified in September. Once accepted you will receive an invoice via paypal to pay and secure your spot in the show.

Tres Holizaar is THIS SUNDAY Dec. 5!

We can't wait to celebrate the holidays with you this Sunday Dec. 5 at Tres Holizaar! Our third annual hand made holiday art and gift bazaar will be held, as always, at The Studio@620, a non profit arts venue located at 620 1st Ave S. in downtown St. Petersburg. NEW this year is live music!! Not one but two fantastic musical duos will perform during the day AND of course we'll have those delicious home made lunches and desserts that will warm you up and keep you energized while shopping. So make a day of it and plan to come out between 11 AM - 5 PM, admission is FREE and you'll go home with great unique gifts and the satisfaction of having helped support The Studio @ 620 and many talented local artists and crafts people. Holizaar III: Tres Holizaar to have groovy tunes!

Shown here at a local coffee shop are two of the fine musicians that will be playing this years Tres Holizaar! (To be held at The Studio @ 620, 620 1st Ave S.) Swanky jazz guitar and vibraphone versions of songs you didn't know you knew will add a perfect mood to the shopping atmosphere! BUT WAIT this is only 1 of 2 performers set for Sunday Dec 5! Alternating sets will be another bluesy/jazzy guitar and drum duo! Enjoy the music while you have some fabulous home cooked soup and sandwiches because Craft Heroes know that holiday shopping can really boost your appetite!
